I am just thinking of how much GPU power will 8k need... 2 x 1080ti

They have some special feature they advertise doenst need you to have inhumane GPU power.
But seriously. If the HMD rocks ill buy whatever graphicscards I need:)

What special features will that google have !? The special feature needs the card itselfs not the monitor(the google)!
Guess, the next GPU and graphiccard generation will solve the problem cause they will be more specified to VR. Thats all and must be develloped! What the costs will be...... we will see...... but at the end, it all depends on the card! Believe or not.....

It's not really 8k but 4k/eye so the advertising is a bit misleading. Still it will be the most potent VR headset available for consumers. Star VR is out and shipping but only to companies such as arcade halls and alike. It is about $100k but really insane resolution and 210 degrees field of view.

Well, 4k per eye is more than enough i believe.
Well, gotta wait and see. Up to a price around 500 bucks i will try to get one i believe.
